Kofi Annan
Kofi Atta Annan, Ghanaian diplomat, 7th General Secretary of the United Nations (1997-2006), and from February 24 to August 31, 2012 special envoy of the UN and the Arab League in Syria for a conflict regulation. The Nobel Prize winner in 2001. Kofi Annan was the first black African in the post of UN General Secretary.
