Genaro Garcia Luna

Genaro García Luna is a Mexican politician, Secretary of Public Security of the Government of Felipe Calderon Hinojosa.

Genaro García Luna holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Autonomous Metropolitan University. From 1989 till 1998 he worked at the Center for Research and National Security (CISEN) as a researcher, and from 1998 to 2000 he was General Coordinator of Intelligence of the Federal Preventive Police. Since 2000 he has served as General Director for Planning and Operations of the new Federal Investigation Agency (AFI).
