Vinod Khanna

Vinod Khanna (born 6 October 1946) - Indian actor, film producer and politician.

As an actor Vinod Khanna debuted in 1968 and has played major roles in many successful films. In 1999 he received a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the film industry. Khanna's political career began in 1997 when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He won the election in Lac Sabha (Lower House of Indian Parliament) in his district Gurdaspur (Punjab) three times. In 2002, Vinod Khanna was appointed Minister of Culture and Tourism of India. After remaining in this position for about a year, he was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs. In 2004 Vinod Khanna returned to the film industry.
