Vladimir Bozhko

Vladimir Bozhko

Born on May 16, 1949 in Alma-Ata.

In 1971 he graduated from Kazakh Polytechnic Institute V.I. Lenin.

From 1973 to 1975 he worked as an internal plumber, an engineer and then, finally, the foreman of the Alma-Ata electrical plant.

In 1976 he graduated from the Higher Courses of the KGB of the USSR in Minsk.

From 1976 to 1989, he was on investigative work such as: security officer, chief operations officer, chief of the second administration, and an inspector of the KGB Inspection of Kazakh SSR, the third head of the KGB of the Kazakh SSR.

From 1989 to 1991 - Deputy Head of the KGB of the Tselinograd region.

From 1991 to 1993 - Head of KNB to Kokchetav region

From 1993 to 1994 - Head of KNB on the East Kazakhstan region

In 1994-1997 - Director General of the Economic Security of Kazakhstan National Security Committee.

From 1997 to 1998 - Deputy Head of the Second Department KNB, and from 1998 to 1999 - Head of the Second Department.

From 1999 to 2001, vice president of the firm “Jetson Trading LTD” and director of its representative office in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From December 2001 - First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.

September 4 2007 - Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.

November 13 2007 with a presidential decree - appointed Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
