On June 26, 2014, on the International Day against Drug Addiction and Illicit Drug Trafficking, the nongovernmental public organization “World League“ Mind Beyond Drugs ”” launches a global action “The World Needs You!”.

"The world needs you!" Is a call to drug addicts all over the world. An appeal that motivates you to fight your own addiction in the name of loved ones, relatives and yourself. When a person closes in a narcotic illusion, he forgets why he came to this world. We want to remind drug addicts what it means to be useful to society, loved by their relatives, and for what it is worth fighting drug cravings.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 3% of the world's population suffers from drug addiction. These are millions of people in need of treatment and rehabilitation, able not only to improve their lives, but also to contribute to the development of the society and country where they live.

In this regard, the World League "Mind Free of Drugs" announces a charitable event that will cover the entire globe and will be held in 194 countries recognized by the UN. The goal "The world needs you!" - to motivate as many people as possible to undergo treatment and quit drugs. Our task is to actualize the problem of drug addiction in each separate society, to reveal its peculiarities depending on the country and to demonstrate a positive example of rehabilitation, a kind of "success story" that will serve as a personal example and inspiration for hundreds of thousands of drug addicts in each country separately.
